Senior Vacancy - Chief Executive Officer, Training Sector, Derbyshire


Chief Executive Officer, Training Sector, Derbyshire - New Premier position!

Reporting to: Board of Directors
Full-Time and Permanent

Salary: Negotiable (Guide is £45k - £65k)

Our client are a growing membership based Training Consortium who represent over 60 Training Providers (members) within Derbyshire, the East Midlands region and nationally.
They provide a support and information network to its members and secure funded training contracts from the LSC (Train to Gain, Skills for Life, Apprenticeships and more) which they subcontract to their members who then deliver these in accordance with contract criteria.
Their members range from small independent training companies to national training providers, colleges and educational suppliers.

Job Purpose :
To provide vision, direction and leadership to plan and deliver the Company’s long/short term strategic aims and objectives in-line with its values, mission and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic & Operational Planning
- Financial Management
- Human Resource Management
- Performance management of the Senior Management Team
- Working with the Operations Manager, authorize all personnel actions that fully conform to current laws and regulations, including; staff policies and procedures, staff recruitment, discipline, aims, objectives and performance issues.
- Environmental Standards
- Programme, Product and Service Delivery
- Sector Development

Person Specification

- A clear understanding of the current key priorities within the skills and employability sector
- Experience in management in a dynamic environment
- Stakeholder oriented, results focused, strategically aware, flexible and adaptable, credible and charismatic and self motivated.

Experience/Skills

- Demonstrable experience in successfully managing a similar size (SME) organization at a senior level
- An understanding of the education and skills agenda nationally, regionally and locally
- Proven skills in business and financial management.
- Proven track record of winning new deliverable business and increasing revenue

Qualifications

- Degree in Business Leadership & Management (or equivalent) – or working towards
- Leadership & Management Qualification at Level 5 (or equivalent) – or working towards

We are currently recruiting a Hair & Beauty Salon Manager for a new salon-spa in the Chesterfield area. This salon is part of a Training Sector Organisation.
They offer everything you could ever need, from hairstyling to manicures and waxing and from the latest look-good and feel-good spa treatments to spray tans and cellulite reduction therapy and nails.

Designed for today’s busy men and women, they provide a total salon-spa experience in one location, under one roof, staffed by professionals and equipped with the most advanced technology.
They have 18 hair stations, 5 nail and makeup stations, 5 single treatment rooms, a deluxe suite, a double treatment room and 2 superb relaxation areas


Overall Objective:

Day to day running of an efficient and friendly salon reflecting the organisation’s brand principles and service standard where employees maintain a highly creative, passionate approach to all aspects of the hairdressing industry - Thus creating a professional yet exciting working environment.

As a salon manager you must ensure the organisation’s brand values are maintained at all times: Quality, Passion, Creativity and Professionalism. You must ensure the following objectives are met:

- Increase salon turnover in accordance with targets
- Motivate and grow your team to create repeat business
- Create and maintain a superb environment for customers and team alike
- Maintain and control all aspects of health and safety legislation in your salon.

· Knowledge of the key factors that affect the way learners learn

Experience

· Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant or equivalent experience of working with adults in an learning environment

· Experience of using ICT to advance learners’ learning, and experience of using common ICT tools for own and learners’ benefit
